We've come to terms with an excellent dealer. Tomorrow we'll be trading in my POS '11 Malibu in for a new CX-5. We're also trading in my wife's '06 Mazda 3. It's going to be her daily driver, so she got to pick the options. It's a Soul Red Grand Touring AWD, without the Technology Package, but with remote start.
I can't wait to never see that damn Malibu again. It's going to be rolling into the dealer on fumes. The Mazda 3, I'll miss, that has been an excellent vehicle.
Full report on the car, and an excellent dealership experience to come.

Wait what are you going to drive then?
Sounds like you're turning in 2 and leaving with 1.
EDIT: Haha, you answered this through your truck yeah post. Congrats on the new car

We are doing exactly that. I'm going back to daily driving my '06 Sierra. It's never let me down, unlike that stupid Malibu.

Chevy Malibu's have been the bane of existence for at least 2 people I've known, they just aren't built to any standard. Congrats on the CX5, it looks awesome especially in that red!

That would be fun, but I've never gotten stuck in the snow. I did get stuck in the mud once, but that was more of a tire issue (Firestone Destination LE's are great on dry and wet pavement, but absolutely WORTHLESS in snow or mud).

Hoon living shit out of the Malibu. But not enough to break it.

I have been! I just put tires on it in July, and I want to get bit of my moneys worth out of them.

You should be able to bald those front ones in no time with how torquey the 3.6 is down low!

Everybody I've known who has had that body style Malibu, has been very happy, but this one has been trouble from the word go. I've been averaging a major problem every 1100 miles.
I'm genuinely excited about the CX-5 though! I did an overnight test drive last weekend, and found it to be a very fun and tossable little rig.

Speaking of tires...the General AltiMAX RT43's have been doing great in our light snow this week. Like I have to work hard to intentionally break free the drive wheels. Braking has been awesome and even road noise is drastically better.

Good! It looks like I'm never going to get to test mine in the snow. We've yet to get more than a dusting.

Yeah, it really is!

we got a max of 3 inches, that much wasn't on the road tho. My neighborhood has been compacted snow for the last 3-4 days straight tho

Loooove the CX5. Sold Mazdas for a little while, I only ever had one person who didn't like it. But she loved the Mazda CX-7, which was an awful car. Whatever, people are weird.

The new CX-5 is fantastic. My wife just got one after trading in the 2013. The 2.5L engine that they've put in this generation solves the only complaint that we had with the old one: not enough POWA. I can honestly say I am thrilled with her CX-5 and hope you guys find the same enjoyment with yours.

Excellent choice! I can't think of a better CUV. Suprised the CRV won over the CX-5 in the Compact SUV of the Year.

Me too. The CX-5 takes it on looks alone!

Yeah, the 2.5 has plenty of POWA. I'm looking forward to it.

Very weird. I'm looking forward to owning the CX-5.
